Dog House Heater

When I had the house renovated for the winter, my kids said, “You should have Grosby’s house renovated, too.” And they were referring to the nice, healthy terrier which has kept us company all through out these years. So truly, I had Grosby’s little home repainted in lime green, and got it some dog house heater, too.

It’s funny how kids just love dogs. It makes me feel happy to see them frolic in the snow with the dogs behind them. They look so liberating, and it brings back some warm feeling deep inside of me, too. Always, the kids never fail to touch me.

Oftentimes, we forget that we are kids at heart, too. We call ourselves professionals, housewives, philanthropists, and we forget ourselves. If we would take a chance to look at the children, they will teach us this very valuable lesson: We all need to leave a bit of our childhood within us; it keeps us grounded to our desires.
